DIANA ROSS, WAYNE BRADY AND JERSEY BOYS WILL OPEN VENETIAN’S NEW $3-BILLION PALAZZO EXPANSION
It’s going to be a nonstop 72-hour three-day opening weekend of festivities to celebrate the new Palazzo resort alongside the Venetian. Luxe Life has learned that it all kicks off Thursday of next week with a VIP-red carpet extravaganza at the new Barney’s New York mega fashion store as many of the retail shops and restaurants, including my New York friends from Sushi Samba, open up for the first time. Music-moguls Jay Z and Beyonce have already opened their new 40/40 club, but expect celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse and Charlie Trotter to be on hand for the kickoff—pouring champagne and serving up taste treats.

All day Friday (Jan 18) it will be a “peek at the Palazzo” for invited guests to explore all of its amenities and attractions. Then Saturday, improv comedian Wayne Brady will host the all-star concert gala with performances led by superstar singer Diana Ross and the cast of the Jersey Boys. (Wayne headlines at the Venetian and the Jersey Boys debut in the new Palazzo theatre this spring. Diana recently opened the Venetian’s new Macau resort convention hotel).
